System Boilers
System boilers provide central heating and hot water using a storage cylinder in an airing cupboard. They can satisfy high hot water demands, for example multi-bathroom properties.
The hot water in the storage cylinder is kept permanently topped up and, once exhausted, is replenished.
If the system boiler is fitted with an unvented cylinder, there is no need for a cold water storage tank in the loft.
