As demand for Alpha heating products continues to grow, so does the team dedicated to helping customers on their journey. One key addition this year is Jason Lewis, who made his return to Alpha after a 16-year break. Jason has rejoined the company as Area Sales Manager for the South West region.
We caught up with Jason during his first few weeks to find out more.
How did your career at Alpha begin?
I actually started out working on the tools with my father, training as a heating engineer and installing boilers in customers’ homes. After a while, I decided I wanted to expand my career and explore opportunities beyond the installation side. That’s when joined Alpha as an engineer. I spent two years in that role and then moved into sales management where I spent four years developing relationships with customers. Alpha was an important part of my career early on.
What have you been up to in your time between then and now?
I’ve spent a lot of time within the industry, working for various manufacturers, and have gained a lot of experience in building sales teams, helping to launch products to market, and working with different heating technologies. It’s been great but when the opportunity to return back to Alpha came up, I knew it was the right move for me.
So, why come back to Alpha? What drew you back?
Heating solutions is what I know, plus people always need warm homes so it will always be an interesting and necessary industry to be in. I was looking for a new challenge and I’ve been impressed by how much Alpha’s product range has evolved since I last worked here. They’ve developed some of the best products in the market over the last 15 years and have a great understanding of what works for both homeowners and installers as we move toward renewable heating solutions. That was all the motivation I needed to come back.
What are you most excited about, and what are your plans for the year?
The first thing on my list is reconnecting with former customers and bringing them on board with Alpha! I want to be more than just a sales rep to them; thanks to my background, I’m able to offer them a different level of hands-on support which is something many installers appreciate.
Ultimately it’s about trust, reliability, and backup. Installers want someone they can rely on, someone who understands the challenges they face on-site. That’s where I think my background gives me an edge and will hopefully attract more installers to choose Alpha.
