Alpha expands its renewable support team, demonstrating its commitment to greener heating solutions.
Dan Wilden stepped into the newly created role of national renewables manager allowing his proven expertise to play a more integral role in Research and Development (R&D) alongside managing director Andrea Carmeli.
Earlier this year, Alpha appointed Kenny Henderson as renewable product manager for Scotland. This followed the acquisition of Garry Mills, based in Manchester.
Now, Patrick Pope expands the team at Alpha further, taking up the position of renewable product manager for Wales and the South West.
With 17 years of experience working as a domestic gas engineer for Cardiff Council, Patrick made the switch to renewables in 2021. Formerly overseeing Wales and the Southwest of England for a national renewable energy company, Patrick will support this same region, plus the Midlands, for Alpha.
Alpha’s expansion reflects the growing demand for renewable heating solutions and the enhanced team will support and educate engineers new to this field. They will all be on hand to offer installer training and to guide customers with onsite installation and retrofitting older systems.
A cornerstone of Alpha’s support strategy is a free commissioning service. Proper commissioning is crucial not only for maintaining quality of service, but also for protecting the reputation of heat pumps which have frequently fallen victim to negative reports in the national press.
“The technology behind heat pumps is very different from traditional boilers but is well within the capabilities of heating engineers,” said Darran Smith, technical manager for Alpha. “Our dedicated service helps installers master the art of renewables with their first heat pump or hybrid installations. Alpha is keen to help local installers upskill to meet the increasing demand for renewable heating products.”
The extension of Alpha’s renewables team reflects the company’s commitment to innovation and excellence in the heating industry.
