Alpha was delighted to support South Lanarkshire College in recognising the achievements of its plumbing apprentices by sponsoring the Apprentice of the Year – Plumbing awards at the college’s annual celebration event.
Held on Friday 20th June 2025, the event shone a spotlight on apprentices at Levels 1, 2, and 3, with a winner and runner-up announced in each category. The awards reflect the hard work, commitment, and skills of apprentices who are helping shape the future of the plumbing and heating industry.
Representing Alpha on the day were Francis Christie and Kenny Henderson, who joined college staff, students, and guests to mark the occasion.
Alpha has enjoyed a strong partnership with South Lanarkshire College over the years, regularly using the college’s facilities to deliver hands-on training on its boilers and heat pump solutions to local installers.
The event also highlighted the college’s recent success in securing Innovate UK funding through the College Local Innovation Centres (CLIC) programme. As one of six participating colleges in the Glasgow City Region, South Lanarkshire College has established an Innovation Centre for Sustainable Development, aiming to drive innovation and collaboration across local businesses. Alpha is proud to support this forward-thinking initiative and looks forward to future collaboration.
We extend our congratulations to all the winners and nominees and remain committed to supporting the development of skills and sustainability in our sector.
