LUXURY RENOVATION CALLS FOR HIGH-QUALITY BOILER

LUXURY RENOVATION CALLS FOR HIGH-QUALITY BOILER

Alpha was selected to provide the heating solution for the complete modernisation of a prestigious 19th century building previously owned and occupied as a brewery for national brewers, McMullen.

The new site, built by Hertford-based company White Hart Developments, comprises seven plots divided into three houses, three apartments and a penthouse. With the old brewery’s original design features intact, this stunning redevelopment of a much-loved building required a heating system that was equally as refined as its renovation.

For plot one of the McMullen Brewery redevelopment, Alpha’s wall-hung FlowSmart unit with InTec 40GS2 was chosen to provide a high-efficiency system for one of the site’s four bedroomed houses. This particular plot has three levels of underfloor heating plus four bathrooms, a utility room and kitchen. For this reason, a powerful boiler system was a total necessity.

John Lontton, Installer & Developer at White Hart Developments, explained: “As I have 30 years’ experience of managing construction sites under my belt, choosing the right company to provide the heating system I was looking for was an important requirement for the redevelopment of this old building. I performed plenty of research and decided Alpha was the best company for the job.

“I was extremely impressed with the knowledge and integrity of Alpha’s Area Sales Manager for Hertford. Not only did he place us in direct contact when it came to purchasing the boiler, we were able to attain the best rate. Furthermore, Alpha’s ongoing support and servicing is second-to-none. Alpha’s representative even went out of his way to contact us to see how we were getting on. I can’t recommend their impeccable service enough.

“To this day I am still enamoured by the sheer power of the FlowSmart: its ability to deliver 20 litres of hot water per minute, not to mention its components, controls, quality fit and frame.”

“For the conversion of a valued, historical building, it was crucial to find a heating system which would match the quality of the old brewery. White Hart Developments is so pleased with the current outcome and performance of our ‘Rolls Royce’ Alpha boiler and look forward to maintaining a healthy relationship with Alpha well into the future.”
