Alpha appoints renewable product specialist

Whilst the UK works towards achieving the goal of net zero emissions by 2050, many installers will be called upon by their customers to help them make the move towards a sustainable energy solution.

In light of this, Alpha has further strengthened its renewables team with the appointment of Garry Mills as renewable product specialist.

Garry will join renewable product manager Dan Wilden as the demand to heat our homes using greener alternatives increases and will assist in helping to educate engineers new to this area and supporting them throughout the journey from initial training and selling to customers, to onsite installation and retrofitting to older systems.

With a career in heating and plumbing spanning over 13 years, Garry brings a wealth of knowledge to the role and has spent the best part of the last seven years installing and working with heat pumps. Focusing on putting installer and customer minds at ease, Garry wants to reduce the uncertainty around eco-friendly solutions and educate homeowners and engineers alike that, by embracing renewable energy, we can work towards a better future for everyone.

Commenting on his appointment, Garry said: “I am delighted to be working with Alpha and look forward to helping support and educate those looking to embrace greener technologies. Due to increased interest in this area, my focus is to work with installers to help them get past any inhibitions or anxieties they may have in this field. With some tailored support and training, I’m confident that many installers can extend their service offerings and increase revenue, all whilst doing their bit for the planet.

“If we want to reduce fossil fuels for a better future, we must embrace these new technologies now and help homeowners make the right choice for them and their home.”

Andrea Carmeli, Managing Director for Alpha, commented: “We’re thrilled to have Garry join the team in this new role. His expertise in working on the ground with customers is crucial to the work he will do with new installers starting to find their feet in this area. At Alpha, we are optimistic about the future of green energy and work hard towards playing a vital role in the future of climate control technologies.”
