ALPHA BOILER UPGRADE - A PIECE OF CAKE FOR LOCAL BUSINESS

When the owner of a thriving cake shop in Essex was looking to upgrade their heating and hot water system, they turned to the reliability of Alpha Heating Innovation’s Evoke 28kW. Offering ease of installation, this compact combination boiler was specified for its efficiency, compact size and warranty.

Having built a reputation for creating cakes of exceptional quality for a wide range of clients, the owner of Cake Boulevard in Ilford couldn’t afford to have an inefficient boiler. Whilst delicious products are the order of the day, hot water on demand is critical for any cake-making business to ensure all food equipment is clean and protected from contamination.

The owner’s previous boiler was an Alpha CB28, which had delivered many years of reliable service, with no issues experienced. With space in the kitchen at a premium, the boiler upgrade had to offer performance and reliability in a small package. To meet these requirements, heating engineer Douglas Bagshaw recommended Alpha’s wall-hung Evoke 28Kw combi boiler. Featuring a stainless-steel heat exchanger, the Evoke 28 is Alpha’s smallest combi boiler, delivering 14.1 litres of water per minute.

Commenting on the installation, Douglas Bagshaw of DJB Gas Installations said: “The Evoke 28 is an efficient and easy to install boiler. The existing pipework was the same, so the boiler swap required no alterations and no disruption to the cake-making activities. We also installed this with the Cyclone Plus magnetic filter to protect the boiler from the risk of damage.”

Adding an extra year’s warranty, the Cyclone Plus magnetic filter is a boiler-mounted filter, designed to remove debris from the heating system using both magnetic and centrifugal force. This greatly reduces the risk of damage to the boiler and increases the boiler warranty by an additional year.

With the boiler upgrade now complete, this popular and in-demand cake-making business has an efficient and reliable combi-boiler that will meet all of their heating and hot water needs.
