Regarded as one of the finest coastal golf clubs in the UK, Thorpeness Golf Club & Hotel is a stunning complex, offering members and visitors enviable views and peerless services all within a supreme location minutes from Britain’s eastern shore.
Situated two minutes north of Aldeburgh in the golf club’s eponymous village Thorpeness, Thorpeness Golf Club & Hotel recently required a replacement boiler solution for over 20 rooms in its hotel and clubhouse. To assure the supreme comfort of both its visitors and members, the golf club looked no further than Alpha Heating Innovation to supply the heating products and services for this project.
Contractors, Green Future Energy, based in Saxmundham, Suffolk, selected and installed the boilers for their client, Thorpeness Golf Club & Hotel. Green Future was very keen to start using Alpha’s products and had built a solid relationship with Area Sales Manager, Steve Farrow.
It was decided that five FlowSmart system solutions were to be installed to supply the hot water and heating across various hotel rooms and bathrooms. The ProTec 90 commercial system boiler, designed for larger premises, was also installed in the main clubhouse along with an E-Tec 20S system boiler to run the heating and hot water in conjunction with two vented cylinders.
David Fordham, engineer at Green Future Energy, was extremely impressed with the speed of installation and the boilers’ flow rates. He said: “The performance and pressure is fantastic and there were no issues during installation. We were really impressed with the hot water delivery and the boilers’ ability to fit seamlessly in even the most compact spaces. Since completion, staff at Thorpeness Golf Club & Hotel have expressed their happiness with all of the boilers. For this, we have Alpha to thank.”
