DETAILED INFORMATION

Whether upgrading your existing system or installing a new one, the Alpha Custom Hybrid offers a flexible solution that adapts to your home’s specific heating and hot water needs.

Choose from a range of heat pump outputs (up to 16kW) to match your desired heating load and determine the perfect balance between the heat pump and boiler’s contributions to your heating needs.

Your choice of boiler type—combi or system—depends on your hot water requirements and the type of boiler currently installed in your property. If you opt for a combi boiler, hot water will always be available on demand, whereas with a system boiler, you have the flexibility to decide whether the hot water cylinder is heated by the boiler or the heat pump. This decision should be made during installation to ensure the appropriate cylinder type is selected.

HOW IT WORKS

The Alpha Custom Hybrid combines a single-phase Magis M heat pump with any E-Tec or Evoke combi or system boiler, thanks to the innovative Hybrid Interface Kit.

This interface kit is specifically designed to connect the Magis M heat pumps with the E-Tec NX, NX Plus, and Evoke NX boiler ranges, creating an integrated hybrid heating system.

Engineered for easy installation, the Hybrid Interface Kit fits directly beneath the boiler, with dedicated connections for the external heat pump and the heating system’s flow and return circuits.

By using a Magis M heat pump as the primary heating source, the kit enables the boiler to provide additional heating capacity when the heat pump alone might not be sufficient to meet the demand, for example on particularly cold winter days.

The built-in control system continuously monitors the temperature and performance of the system to maintain the required room temperatures, managing the heat sources to activate the boiler to provide additional heat as required.
