At Alpha, we believe in the power of community and the importance of supporting those who support others. That’s why we were proud to donate a new boiler to St Teresa’s Hospice in Darlington, ensuring patients, staff, and volunteers have a warm and comfortable environment during their most challenging times.
The request came to us via a trusted local installer who has a longstanding relationship with the hospice. In a true show of generosity, Andrew Thomas of Blackwell Heating and Plumbing, not only installed the boiler free of charge but also coordinated the whole project.
Andrew is a relatively new partner to Alpha, but in recent months has begun offering our products as an option on his quotes. This has led to a few installs of our E-Tec boilers and the specification of our Custom Hybrid heat pump and boiler system for an upcoming installation in July.
We’re incredibly proud to have played a small role in supporting the vital work of St Teresa’s and honoured to work alongside people who share our values and are committed to making a positive impact.
Nicola Myers, Chief Executive of St Teresa’s Hospice, sent a heartfelt message of thanks to Stephen McLauchlan, local Area Sales Manager for Alpha:
“On behalf of everyone at St Teresa’s Hospice, I would like to express our sincere and deep gratitude to you and the team at Alpha for your exceptionally generous donation of a new boiler.
“Your support means the world to us. Not only does it ensure a warm, safe and comfortable environment for our patients, their families, our staff and volunteers, it also removes a significant financial burden from the charity at a time when resources are stretched more than ever.
“Your generosity reflects Alpha’s incredible community spirit and commitment to making a difference. The practical impact of this gift will be felt every single day by those in our care and it’s a contribution that exemplifies kindness in action.”
This collaboration is a testament to the positive outcomes that can happen when manufacturers, installers, and charities come together with a shared purpose. We’re grateful to Andrew for his generosity and proud to support the community and organisations whose work touches so many lives every day.
