Alpha Employee Named BBC Young Plumber of the Year 2010

1 December 2010

Alpha Heating Innovation is celebrating the success of Aimee Patterson, crowned BBC Young Plumber of the Year 2010 after an outstanding performance on the BBC3 talent show.

The programme, hosted by George Lamb and judged by industry experts Charlie Mullins (Pimlico Plumbers founder) and plumbing specialist Chris Young, saw four finalists face demanding technical challenges, customer scenarios, and practical installations.

Aimee’s combination of plumbing expertise, heating industry knowledge, and composure under pressure impressed the judges and secured her the national title.

Based in Wiltshire, Aimee joined Alpha in March 2009 as a Technical Sales Manager, bringing with her four years’ experience as a qualified heating engineer. Her background includes installing and maintaining both domestic and commercial heating systems, giving her first-hand understanding of the challenges installers face.

This technical foundation, combined with her dedication to customer service, has made her a valued member of the Alpha team – and now, an award-winning professional.

In her role, Aimee works closely with installers, merchants, and contractors to provide advice and support on Alpha’s full range of heating products – from energy-efficient boilers to smart heating controls.

The winning episode of BBC Young Plumber of the Year aired on Tuesday 30th November 2010 at 10:30pm, with a repeat on Thursday 2nd December.

From all of us at Alpha — congratulations to Aimee on this well-deserved recognition.
