ALPHA PROTEC PLUS BOILERS SATISFY HIGH DEMAND IN LARGE HOUSE REFURBISHMENT

18 June 2020

Falcon House in Hawkhurst, Kent underwent a large-scale refurbishment in 2019 and AA Cooper Plumbing & Heating installed two of Alpha Heating Innovation’s ProTec Plus boilers as part of the household’s new heating system. The boilers were chosen due to their high-quality and ability to meet the heating requirements of such a large property.
Originally built in the 1960’s, Falcon House has undergone extensive renovation works. The refurbishment of the large six-bedroom property began in December 2018 and took several months to complete, with the work including the installation of five new bathrooms, along with a new heating and hot water system.
As the large home required a system that would provide a high heating output, Ashley Cooper from AA Cooper Plumbing & Heating was eager to seek professional advice. Having worked with Alpha on numerous projects before and been impressed by the reliability of the company’s products, Ashley spoke to Lee Mumford, Area Sales Manager at Alpha for guidance on specification and a site survey was arranged.
Daniel Sturch, Commercial Product Engineer at Alpha completed the initial site survey. He commented: “It was determined through various heat loss calculation tests that two Alpha ProTec Plus boilers were the ideal solution for this property.
The ProTec Plus range is specifically designed for larger output requirements. The fan-assisted condensing system boilers contain high-quality components and are capable of being installed in modular formations.”
Featuring a stainless-steel heat exchanger, Honeywell gas valve and fully modulating, built-in, circulator Grundfos pump, ProTec Plus is a highly efficient and reliable product. Suitable for large domestic and commercial projects, these boilers are available in four models with outputs from 50kW to 115kW, which can be increased to over 500kW when installed in a cascade system.
Additionally, the boiler is simple to install and designed with flexibility in mind as it is compatible with open or concentric push-fit flue systems. Factory-fitted with a ‘B23’ type flue configuration, this can easily be changed to ‘C’ type by fitting the concentric flue adaptor.
Ashley Cooper concluded: “I’ve worked alongside Alpha before and the technical support that they offer my business is excellent. Any questions have always been answered efficiently, and I can always depend on them as a manufacturer that supplies all the equipment needed for the installation. The level of service we receive from the company is second to none, and I’m looking forward to continuing this positive partnership.”
