A new Alpha Evoke 33kW combi boiler has been installed in a Greenock home after homeowner Wesley Brolls won a Facebook competition held by The Inverclyde Boiler Company. The boiler, provided free of charge, now meets the heating and hot water demands of Wesley’s home extension in Greenock, Scotland.
The Inverclyde Boiler Company recently ran a social media giveaway offering one lucky homeowner a brand-new boiler at no cost. The competition, announced and drawn live via the company’s Facebook page, saw Wesley named as the winner—just as his aging 20-year-old boiler was starting to fail.
His property had recently been extended, with the addition of a new shower and radiators, placing increased demand on the home’s hot water system. To support this, a high-output boiler and a modern smart control were essential.
To meet the updated requirements, Alpha’s Evoke 33kW combi boiler was selected. Supplied by a local plumbing merchant, it was installed along with the Alpha Connect, a Wi-Fi-enabled smart thermostat that allows Wesley to manage heating settings remotely via smartphone or tablet.
