Alpha was selected to provide the heating solution for the complete modernisation of a prestigious 19th century building previously owned and occupied as a brewery for national brewers, McMullen.
The new site, built by Hertford-based company White Hart Developments, comprises seven plots divided into three houses, three apartments and a penthouse. With the old brewery’s original design features intact, this stunning redevelopment of a much-loved building required a heating system that was equally as refined as its renovation.
For plot one of the McMullen Brewery redevelopment, Alpha’s wall-hung FlowSmart unit with InTec 40GS2 was chosen to provide a high-efficiency system for one of the site’s four bedroomed houses. This particular plot has three levels of underfloor heating plus four bathrooms, a utility room and kitchen. For this reason, a powerful boiler system was a total necessity.
