JERRY STUDDEN APPOINTED AS ALPHA’S NEW MANAGING DIRECTOR

22 September 2010
Jerry Studden has been appointed as Alpha’s new Managing Director, replacing Cliff Jones with effect from 1st October 2010.

Studden, who steps up from his role as National Sales Manager, joined the company in August 2005.

Since entering the heating industry as a British Gas engineer some 36 years ago he has gone on to perform a number of roles with a range of leading brands including Caradon and Vaillant, the latter of which he was with for 15 years.

His knowledge of Alpha and all aspects of the industry is therefore extensive – two factors which Italian parent company Immergas pinpointed as being crucial to ensure continuity for employees as well as the business.

Cliff Jones joined Alpha as an Area Sales Manager 21 years ago, progressing through the ranks to Managing Director, a position he took up in 2003. Under his leadership the company has enjoyed significant growth and success in a marketplace which, with the increasing demand for greener and more energy efficient heating systems, has experienced tremendous change.

He leaves to take up a new position with Itho UK, a company that Alpha will be working with closely to introduce new products to its portfolio.

Speaking regarding the announcement, Jerry Studden commented: “I speak on behalf of everyone at Alpha and Immergas in wishing Cliff the greatest of success in his new role.”

He continued: “This is a dynamic company with a unique culture, great people and a terrific product portfolio. This, combined with the fact that we are operating in a rapidly evolving market place, makes this a very exciting opportunity for me. I look forward to helping ensure the Alpha success story continues.”
