With over 25 years experience in the gas and heating industry, Matt Hobbs has recently been promoted to Commercial Sales Director for Alpha Heating Innovation.

Matt began his career in the industry in 1989, as an apprentice gas service engineer with British Gas South Eastern, before moving to various positions across the trade. Matt then joined Alpha in 2013 as a Technical Sales Director, providing technical assistance across both Alpha’s commercial and domestic boiler range.

As Commercial Sales Director for the UK Matt will be using his combined industry experience and the relationships he has built within the industry to grow Alpha’s commercial presence in the UK. Working alongside the sales team and Alpha’s Commercial Development Managers, Matt will be integral in developing the commercial product range, which includes the ARES Tec and ProTec, in line with market needs.

Commenting on his new role at Alpha, Matt said: “I believe in building strong business relationships and providing support to specifiers from the design stage through to completion. As the UK Commercial Sales Director, I’ll be using my knowledge of the gas heating industry to help improve Alpha’s position in the market and ensure we offer customers the best possible products and service.”
